Why Music ?
A music therapist provides therapeutic services in a fun, relaxing, and non-threatening way through music. Music is universal. People of all ages, cultures, and social economic backgrounds incorporate music into their daily lives. A music therapist uses a person's individual relationship with music to meet specific goals and objectives for that client. Music therapists are trained not only in music, but in psychology, gerontology, health care, child development, and much more in their education. The client is often the one creating music with the therapist to meet their individual goals and objectives.
